It is finally time to take my vacation. I am very excited since its been a long time since I had the opportunity to take some personal time. My last vacation was well over three years ago. In fact, I planned this trip far in advance so to leave no doubt about my itinerary. I am headed to South America, a place I have never been to. The weather is said to be perfect, sunny and mild.

For the plane ride itself I dressed very casually and comfortably. I have on sweat pants and a loose t-shirt. For sleeping, I plan to change into my Nautica sleepwear. This should be perfect for taking a nap. Given the duration of the trip and since its my first trip in a long time I decided to go business class. This makes for a more comfortable trip as the seats fully recline.

In this regard, the airline offers a number of additional features. One such feature is the night pouch. This contains, among other items, toiletries, a night eye patch, and comfortable socks for keeping the feet warm. The toiletries range from a tooth brush, paste, floss, comb, to even an eau de parfum spray. There are also body soaps and hand lotions.

Among the other benefits of flying business class is the choice of menu options. Also, one can order off menu, as well. Furthermore, being a vegetarian it is very important to have as many options available as possible. The attendants are also very nice and accommodative. For diversions, the flight offers a number of options from gaming, movies, to music.

In my carry on, I bring along a change of clothing. This I planned to wear before the plane landed. The outfit consists of a pair of jeans, tank top, belt, and leather brown boots. I also have a straw summer hat. Hopefully, I will be able to change in time. The remainder of the contents in my carry on consists of personal items and a few valuables. Among these items, there is some local currency and my passport.

I also brought with me a digital camera. I plan on taking many pictures and with the new web based applications, I can download the pictures to a website. This will allow me to take as many pictures as I want without needing extra storage cards. Another useful item is the AC convertor. The electrical cords that are used in North America don’t always fit the outlets in the South. Therefore, convertors are necessary.

Finally, the announcement was made. The attendants have been told to prepare for landing. I put my seat in an upright position and stored my belongings in my bag. This includes the items I was using during the flight, such as a book, mp3 player, and a travel guide. I then got in queue to change into my landing gear. I am now anxious to land. The anticipation of the excitement has made it worthwhile.
