If go crappie fishing along these edges using a slip bobber fishing rig with a variety of crappie baits such as a crappie fishing jig tipped with a plastic grub and a wax worm, a crappie jig tipped with a large fat shiner or a fathead minnow, or use a crappie hook tipped with a small crayfish as crappie live bait. You will  need to adjust the depth of your slip bobber until you start catching crappie.

 In large reservoirs crappie food chain is at it’s peak and the  crappie follow the large shad schools gorging on them all summer long.
