Beginner Golf Tips
Golf entails a lot of training and practice compared with other sports. You have to learn how to use yourdesigner golf gear, make sure you find a place for golf clubs training and above all find your golf footwear. Golf isn’t a sport you can easily learn, below are some tips for starters:
* Choose well- to begin with, you must pick your first set of clubs. Everyone knows golf is quite an expensive game and its gear could cost thousands of dollars. Being a beginner, it wouldn’t be a good idea to go for the latest accessories. What would happen if you don’t do well in the sport and decide golf isn’t really for you? Lots of money gone to waste! Thankfully, bargains are available even for the leading brands like Dunlop and Wilson.
You can also find good clubs at garage sales. Pro golfers like to replace their golf clubs often so you might be able to find some set at a great price.
Basically avoid overspending since you’re still a beginner. Concentrate on getting good at the game before considering buying branded and more expensive clubs.
*Understand the game- it would be a good idea to have some lessons after you understand the rules. For those who have a lot of money to spend, you can enroll in a golf school. It’s a faster way to learn. On the other hand, if you only want to play for fun and have a limited budget, try getting lessons at one of the golf clubs.
* Practice- you might want to use your backyard for the first few practice sessions and just throw some balls in a bucket. This way no need to worry about doing bad and you can perfecting your swing. Then you can move to your living room for putting practice.
Again those who can afford may go to one of the golf clubs that have a ‘training ground’ for beginners to practice their shots.
* Play- once you’re comfortable with your swings and think you can play with a few people watching you without making a fool of yourself, find a place to play. This time not any lawn will do but you should practice on a real golf course.
Try out the Par 3 courss instead of the normal full sized ones since these are shorter. Courses that don’t have many people are a better idea since you probably would be making many bad shots and you wouldn’t want any ‘boos’.
